Ironwood

Ironwood is a highly asymmetric, card-driven tactical game for 1-2 players. Set in the contested land of Ironwood, players lead one of two rival factions: the industrious Ironclad or the swift and mystical Woodwalkers. Each faction has unique abilities, win conditions, and playstyles, making each game dynamic and unpredictable.

Gameplay revolves around dual-purpose cards: players alternate using these cards for tactical positioning or, in combat, for their combat value. Positioning warbands, initiating battles, and extracting Larimor crystals are just some of the card-based actions that shape each round. During combat, players use the same cards to bid for combat bonuses, inflict casualties, and increase their warbands’ Dominance value to seize control of key areas.

Victory in Ironwood is achieved through faction-specific goals. The Ironclad aim to establish three Forges in the mountains, solidifying their industrial power. Meanwhile, the Woodwalkers seek to recover three hidden totems to summon the Guardian, a powerful spirit of the forest, and drive out the Ironclad.
